Proclama mi alma la grandeza del Se�or, se alegra mi esp�ritu en Dios mi Salvador, porque ha mirado la humillaci�n de su esclava. Desde ahora me felicitar�n todas las generaciones porque el Poderoso ha hecho obras grandes por m�. Su nombre es Santo y su misericordia llega a sus fieles de generaci�n en generaci�n. �l hace proezas con su brazo, dispersa a los soberbios de coraz�n. Derriba del trono a los poderosos y enaltece a los humildes. A los hambrientos los colma de bienes y a los ricos despide vac�os. Auxilia a Israel su siervo, acord�ndose de su santa alianza seg�n lo hab�a prometido a nuestros padres en favor de Abrah�n y su descendencia por siempre. My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their
hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; he has filled
the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.

En un "campamento" (lugar de viviendas precarias) en Santiago, Chile, el padre Jes�s Herreros, sm, detect� que hab�a un gran problema de deserci�n escolar. Con el fin de superar esta situaci�n, Alba Sotomayor, laica marianista, comenz� a unir a los j�venes del Colegio Santa Mar�a de la Cordillera (marianista) con los ni�os del campamento, para que los ayudaran en sus estudios.
En los �ltimos a�os muchos j�venes se han ido incorporando a esta labor atra�dos por el esp�ritu de servicio hacia los m�s peque�os. Y nuestro trabajo no se queda limita a realizar tareas de estudio, durante el a�o tambi�n realizamos trabajos de invierno, la Novena del Ni�o Jes�s y Colonias Urbanas.
Estamos muy agradecidos del Se�or por la oportunidad que tenemos de compartir nuestros conocimientos, amor y cari�o con ni�os que producto de su condici�n tienen menos oportunidades de las que a nosotros se nos han brindado.
Creemos que no habr� educaci�n para la justicia y paz si no hay una relaci�n de hermanos con quienes sufren en carne propia las desigualdades del mundo.

Dans un quartier d�favoris� de Santiago, Chile, le P�re Jes�s Herreros, SM, s'est rendu compte d'un probl�me important d'absent�isme scolaire. En esp�rant r�pondre � cette situation, Alba Sotomayor, une la�que Marianiste, a commenc� � rassembler les jeunes du Coll�ge Marianiste Santa Maria de Cordillera, avec les enfants de ce quartier d�favoris�, pour les aider � faire leurs devoirs.
Dans les ann�es r�centes, beaucoup de jeunes se sont d�vou�s � ce travail, attir�s par un esprit de service aupr�s des plus petits enfants. Nos efforts ne se limitent pas � la scolarit�. Pendant l'ann�e, nous avons aussi des �v�nements d'hiver, la Neuvaine de l'Enfant J�sus, et les Quartiers Urbains.
Nous rendons gr�ce au Seigneur pour la possibilit� de partager nos connaissances, notre amour, et notre affection avec des enfants qui, � cause de leur situation, ont moins d'opportunit�s de se former que nous.
Nous croyons qu'il ne peut pas y avoir d'�ducation pour la justice et pour la paix sans une relation d'amour fraternel avec ceux qui souffrent dans leur propre chair les in�galit�s de ce monde.

In a run-down neighborhood of Santiago, Chile, Father Jes�s Herreros, SM, realized that there was a great problem with school truencies. Desiring to overcome this situation, Alba Sotomayor, a Marianist lay woman, began to gather the youngsters from the Marianist Colegio Santa Maria of Cordillera together with the children of that neighborhood to help them with their studies.
In recent years many youngsters dedicated themselves to this work, drawn by a spirit of service toward the smallest children. Our work has not been limited only to school work. During the year we also have winter events, the Novena of Baby Jesus, and the Urban Neighborhoods.
We are most grateful to the Lord for the opportunity we have of sharing our knowledge, our love, and our affection with children who, because of their situation, have fewer opportunities than those which have nurtured us.
We believe there can be no education for justice and peace unless there is a relationship of brotherly love with those who suffer in their own flesh the inequalities of our world.
