Lord, fill our hearts with the fire of your love.
May it kindle in us
the desire to make you known and loved! May it make us poor with the poor, strangers with strangers... Then, transformed by your love, which saves us, we will be able to open our hearts to every distress, making ourselves available for the little ones and the poor; and we will be inventive in order to answer their thirst. Yes, Lord, enkindle in us the fire of your love! Amen.
(Marie Joelle Bec, FMI: Walking with Adle.)
Dear Friends,
May the Spirit of Pentecost fill us with courage, joy and unwavering hope in our commitment to the mission of Mary.
Peace!

Winnipeg Marianist Family Council
The Winnipeg Marianist Family Council held its biannual meeting at the home of Ina Jablonski on April 8th. The meeting was chaired by Valerie Bergeron, MLNNA Area Rep for Winnipeg, Canada. Community reports and updates were shared.
Planning was begun for a local Marianist Family gathering for the upcoming Marianist World Day of Prayer in October, 2008. This year, the spiritual pilgrimage will be focused on the shrine of Our Lady of the Conception of Aparecida in Brazil. A prayer service is being planned, and a pot-luck celebration with a special Portuguese flavour from the Circulo de Boa Nova community.
Isabella Moyer, Regional Responsible to the International Organization, gave an update on the plans for the International Meeting of MLC in Kenya, 2009. Discussion began on a selection process for choosing a delegate for Winnipeg. The ongoing financial need of both the MLNNA and the International Organization was also discussed.
The meeting adjourned, as is customary, around Ina's bountiful table!
