About our Market Partners
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the partner for our Saturday morning market at its new Howe Meadow location. Established in 1974 as a National Recreation Area, the park received National Park status in 2000. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is also Countryside Conservancy's partner for the Countryside Initiative program, which offers long-term leases of farms within the National Park boundaries. For more information on Cuyahoga Valley National Park visit their website. For more information on the Countryside Initiative click here.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is the partner and host of our Thursday evening market. Stan Hywet is the historic country estate of F.A. and Gertrude Seiberling. Built between 1912 and 1915, the 65 room Manor House and grounds are available to the public in keeping with the Seiberling crest motto "Non Nobus Solum" or "Not for us Alone." For more information on this magnificent museum and its gardens visit their website at Stan Hywet. |

| Dear Market Supporter,
What an extraordinary opening day we had! Thank you for coming out in full force to celebrate our first day back at the gorgeous Howe Meadow.
While many of our vendors joined us for our earliest opening to date, several vendors will be coming every other week until they have enough to fill their booth spaces. Fear not! We will still have plenty of produce this weekend, as many of our growers utilize high tunnels to provide you with early season crops.
And don't forget- with graduation right around the corner, the market is the perfect place to pick up unique, one of a kind gifts: cards, framed artwork, hand-painted wine glasses (for the college grads, of course!), stained glass and even jewelry. Or for the foodie graduate, what could be better than market tokens?
If you have comments or suggestions, feel free to chat me up at the market- I'm always there and always interested in how we can make our markets even better. You'll be able to spot me pretty easily - I'm the one in the crazy boots.
See You at the Market-
Beth Knorr

While the fancy Ohio Proud kitchen won't be joining us this weekend, there will still be lots of good food being sampled at our cooking demonstration tent. Nicole Klue will be joining us this Saturday. Nicole is an active member of the local food community in Northeast Ohio. In addition to being an enthusiastic market supporter, she's also a leader in the Northern Ohio Slow Food Convivium, and writes a blog of her own. I'm looking forward to the fresh dishes Nicole will be sharing. Stop by and get inspired. Nick Malakar will be joining us this Saturday to provide music while you shop. Relax and enjoy your morning at the market! |
