| Help Burr Be A Good Partner: Your Feedback Counts! | | |
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education invites you to complete an online parent survey and share your feedback with your child's school. We want to know about the efforts made by your child's school to help you feel welcome as a partner in the planning for your child's education.
The purpose of the survey is to see how well your child's school partners with you and promotes parent involvement in your child's learning. The survey should take ten minutes to complete. Survey results will provide your child's school with answers about parent-school partnership, transition, and family training. Research shows that schools that are good partners have better outcomes for the students they serve. Your feedback will allow us to learn how effectively schools partner with parents.
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is working with an outside contractor to conduct our web-based parent survey. We will not collect any personal information regarding your child on this survey.
To begin the survey, you will be asked for your child's school district, and school name. If more than one child in your family attended school in the selected school district during the current school year, please fill out one survey per child. You can complete the survey by going to: http://www.MAparentsurvey.com
Your survey answers will remain anonymous. Please complete the survey and submit it by Thursday June 30, 2011.
If you are a parent/guardian needing assistance reading and interpreting this survey in a language other than English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian/Creole, or Vietnamese please seek assistance from your school district.
If you have any questions on this survey, please call Joanne Liem from ICF Macro (toll-free) at: 1-866-262-1922. Thank you very much in advance for your help with the survey.

Riverside Community Meeting - June 9, 2011 | | |
Developer BH Normandy is prepared to meet with the community and present an updated proposal for the Riverside site. The Riverside Station Neighborhood Coalition (RSNC), in conjunction with BH Normandy and our Ward 4 aldermen, have scheduled a community meeting for Thursday, June 9th, at 7pm in the Williams School auditorium. It is important for everyone to attend this meeting, so that you can see what the developer wants to build and understand the impact this project will have on your family and neighborhood. The Ward 4 aldermen urge you to attend! The Steering Committee of the RSNC recently met with the BH Normandy team. They are close to completing their Environmental Impact Report (EIR), and one of the purposes of the June 9th meeting is to gain input from the community prior to filing the report with the State. The purpose of the EIR is to look at the impact of the proposed development on traffic, wastewater, air quality, noise and other matters. The RSNC will need the help of residents to review, understand, and provide input for the EIR and we will need that help ASAP. If you have expertise in traffic or environmental issues, or you have outreach skills and are willing to help contact residents, please reply to this message or send an email to RiversideNeighbors@gmail.com It will take many Lower Falls and Auburndale residents to help craft a project that works for our neighborhoods, the City, and the developer. We hope to see you on June 9th! Lynne Sweet lsweet@riversidestation.info Bill Renke brenke@riversidestation.info Co-chairs Riverside Station Neighborhood Coalition www.riversidestation.info |
