Theater Ink's Freshman Cabaret

Presented by the highly acclaimed Theatre Ink and student directed by Eliza Burr, Jack Reibstein, Greta Schindler and Rowan Sockwell.

Freshman Cabaret is an all-inclusive show for freshmen to showcase their talent and receive introduction to the Theatre Ink Program.

This year's Freshman Cabaret will display a variety of the types of theatre that this program has to offer. The incoming freshmen class will be singing, dancing, and acting in a mix of comedic and dramatic pieces that highlight their various talents in different ways.

January 6th and 7th at 7:30pm - Lasker Auditorium at NNHS,
457 Walnut St., Newtonville.

Waban Library Center's Winter Classes

Do you need some activities for you or your children to fight away those winter chills?  Check out the Waban Library Center's course for winter 2011.

Some classes are, but not limited to...Music Making, Writing, Guitar, Kids Yoga, Hip Hop and a new creative dance classfor preschoolers!! Classes start in January. Check back often as more classes may be added!

Featuring performances by Boston's favorite magician, Bonaparte; fun storytelling with Big Joe and Friends, entertainment by the Newton Family Singers and the Joanne Langione dancers; face painting by Newton Girl Scouts, and refreshments donated by Whole Foods. Farming Summer Program

A Newton Community Farm summer program for Middle School Students

Spend a week outdoors with your peers and the staff from Newton Community Farm learning to plant, maintain, and harvest a farm garden. Discover how the food you eat gets to your dinner table, and how the decisions you make can effect the health of your community and the environment. Every day students will assist the farmer in the fields, harvest produce and prepare a snack, take part in a lesson pertaining to food systems, and enjoy games and activities in the shade. Learn a lot, work hard and have fun!

Program Details:
July & August 2011
Weekly M-F 8:30AM-1:30PM
Campers may sign up for one or two weekly sessions.
Weekly Fee: $135.00 friends of the farm/$150 general public
