Are you a proponent of walking to school?  Interested in safety, the environment, and health?  We are looking for someone (or a couple people, if you'd like to take this on with a friend) to represent Burr on the city-wide 'Safe Routes' committee.

Coordinate International Walk to School Day in the fall, Massachusetts Walk to School Day in the spring, and monthly 'Green Streets' walks.

Contact Tricia Bombara if you'd like to learn more about this opportunity.

PTO Letter
Wow! Turtle Lane looked beautiful on Saturday night at the Together Reaching High Auction. It was a great evening, and it was fun to see so many parents, teachers, and yes - even Burr alums and neighbors there! It'll take a little while before we have the final numbers, but it was incredible how generous everyone was -- with their time and donations! Many thanks to all the many parents who helped out, from the folks who donated items, the folks who helped set up, everyone who bought raffle tickets, bid on the Silent Auction, participated in the Live Auction, cleaned up, and and most especially to the Auction Committee - Margaret Crook, Susan Foster, Jill Greblick, Carey Ranta & Ellen Regan!

Looking forward, we've got next year's Kindergarten Parents coming for an orientation meeting tonight - we'll see some of you there.

This Thursday the 5th is an early release day, don't forget!

What with the February break, there is no PTO meeting this month. The next PTO meeting is Tuesday March 3rd -- featuring a presentation by Suzanne Rostler, clinical dietitian at Great Moves! in Newton.

Keep warm!
