Burr / Williams Winter Clothing Drive
|
Our school psychologist, Julie Gold, has
initiated a winter clothing drive to assist Burr and Williams families who are
in critical need right now. It is estimated that there are over 50
families between our two schools who are in urgent need of warm children's
clothing in sizes 4 - 18. Contributions of these clean, used items are welcome: ~ coats and jackets ~ pants ~ shirts ~ snow boots ~ snow pants ~ gloves, mittens, and hats
Donations can be brought to the offices of
either Burr or Williams schools. If school hours are not convenient
for you, clothes can be dropped off at Williams parent Carie Michael's
house (266 Woodland Road) and left on the side porch. Thank you for your help! |

Classroom Literature Fund It's not too late!
|
|
It's not too late to thank your child's teachers
with a donation to the Classroom Literature Fund!
Donations to the fund are pooled and divided equally among
all Burr teachers in the form of gift certificates to the New England Mobile
Book Fair, where teachers can purchase books for their classrooms. Along the
gift certificate, each teacher receives a note with the names of the children
who have donated to the fund in their honor.
Checks made out to the Burr School PTO can be sent to school
addressed to the Classroom Literature Fund by December 19th. Don't
forget to include your child's name and the teacher(s) you wish to
honor. For more information, contact Sheilarae Lau at 617-527-8144. |
