Looking Back at 2009
A Great Year for Camp Twin Lakes
As 2009 comes to an end, Camp Twin Lakes is pleased to reflect on an exciting year. During this difficult economy, many nonprofits have been forced to cut back. CTL is proud to have expanded its programs in many ways this year. In an uncertain economy, supporting our campers is a certain investment. Click here to continue your support. |
| CTL Opens a Second Camp
Camp Will-A-Way joins the CTL Family
In May, Camp Twin Lakes made history! We opened our second fully-accessible overnight campsite called Camp Twin Lakes- Will-A-Way in Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia. Camp Twin Lakes has partnered with the State of Georgia to renovate and operate Will-A-Way. CTL- Will-A-Way has a new ropes course, climbing wall, archery range, sailing and water sports program, in addition to many other camp activities. CTL-Will-A-Way hosted more than 1,000 campers this summer in addition to already serving more than 3,500 campers at CTL-Rutledge. Click here to see photos of CTL-Will-A-Way. |
Camp... To Go!
CTL takes Camp into Children's Hospitals
Camp Twin Lakes has been working hard this year to bring camp to local children's hospitals though our Camp To Go program. In 2009, CTL held Camp To Go at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding, The Children's Hospital in Macon, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Our goal is to reach five children's hospitals in Georgia in 2010! |
