Greetings! Summer is over and some 14 million visitors have left Myrtle Beach until next Spring. Frankly, I don't mind the vacationers - I've met some interesting people this season - but getting from A to B will be easier now. It seems that during the summer the mainstream media has had all of our attention divided between pitiful celebrity jail stints and the 2008 presidential campaign race which is swamped with hopefuls and well over a year away. I have more attention on the latter and one of these candidates recently introduced a bill which you should be very aware of in our fight to keep vitamin and mineral supplements available and with the least amount of government restrictions. That story below.
On with it... |

Why Should You Irrigate Your Teeth and Gums? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
![]() One thing which stayed constant is my belief in oral irrigation, that, when applied in the hygiene routine along with brushing and flossing, will bring on fantastic results. I now believe that irrigating your teeth and gums regularly is the most beneficial thing you can do for your oral health - both as a preventive measure and in healing diseased tissue. I say this due to my personal experience after 26 years as well as the calls and email I have received from those in the past decade; where irrigation is applied diligently there is success. This is not to say that brushing and flossing should be replaced by irrigating, but it is my opinion that irrigating one's teeth should be taught at an early age as part and parcel with other necessary oral hygiene applications. Dr. Nara wrote and spoke extensively on the topic. One example is here. More information about on oral irrigation can be found here. |

Truest of Health Freedom Bills... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
![]() -- Robert Houghwout Jackson, Chief Judge at the War-Crimes Tribunal in Nuremberg The Food and Drug Administration prohibits with an absolute prior restraint every claim in the market that a nutrient treats a disease. It is, for example, illegal for you to be told in the market that prune juice treats constipation; that glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate treat osteoarthritis; that omega-3 fatty acids reduce the risk of sudden death heart attack; or that folic acid reduces the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Each of those claims is demonstrably true, yet prohibited by the FDA. Why does the FDA ban speech that can heal and save lives? This extremely important bill re-introduced by Rep. Ron Paul will stop the FDA & FTC longtime efforts of censorship and restriction concerning access to supplements and supplement information. Truthful supplement claims will no longer be restricted. This bill puts the burden of dis-proof on the FDA. Please support Ron Paul, the National Health Federation, and health freedom and act on this bill. |
