Greetings!

There were news stories coming out of California, several months back, about how kids living in fluoridated drinking water communities weren't faring any better than non-fluoridated communities in regards to tooth decay. Since then, it seems I have been inundated with inquiries over the oral health of our children.

When does the decay process start? It is logical to assume that it takes some time before the actual evidence of decay. When your baby is born the mouth is essentially sterile. So the process that leads to decay starts shortly after birth.
