    Make your own version of the Color Block Tote that is featured in the November issue of American Quilter magazine! Join Lisa at the Quilt Cottage in Mamaroneck, NY and enjoy its fun, colorful atmosphere as you stitch. All supplies are included in the kit fee; just choose from a selection of Jacquard Batik color palettes and complete your bag in one session! You'll probably want to whip up a few more for holiday gifts, so you can also shop for optional embellishments, CE fabrics & more during class. Call the quilt shop at 914-777-1333 to register.

    Registration for the Textile & Craft Tour of Ghana is in full-swing, and for those who are still thinking about it, we've put together a detailed Information Packet in PDF format. The 2-page registration brochure can be found at the end of the packet.

    The trip features hands-on textile & bead workshops, artist presentations, shopportunities galore, the CE Cares Project, visits to major tourist attractions, overnight trips & more - we hope you'll join us, September 16-28, 2010!


    ---- Just Arrived: New Brass Adinkra Symbols ----
    CE New Adinkras


    Two new Brass Adinkra Symbols are now available: ANANSE NTONTAN (left) is the Spider's Web, symbol of craftiness & creativity. EBAN (right) signifies Love & Security of the Home. Like the others, these are available in 1" and 2" sizes.

    These brass accents have lots of creative uses:

    • Embellishments on quilts, pillows, handbags, journals, gift boxes...
    • Distinctive pendants & chokers
    • Ornaments for your locs, twists and other hairstyles
    • Zipper pulls
    • Key chains
    • Napkin rings, attached with wire or ribbon

    Remember that a portion of the sales of our brass accents is still set aside to help our artists & friends in Ghana to achieve their educational goals.
