New Year Greetings from PARCA!

Dear PARCA Supporter,

January has been a very eventful month for PARCA, and in this edition of The PARCA Perspective we want to share information from our recent endeavors.

The 2012 PARCA Annual Meeting last Friday hosted a number of informative speakers. One of them was David Thorpe, Director of Customer-Focused Government for the State of Tennessee, who spoke about improving governmental performance. To see a video of his remarks, click here.  Presentations from other meeting speakers can be viewed here.

Also, we have released our 2011 PARCA Annual Report, which describes the work we have been doing to improve state and local government in Alabama over the past year.

We appreciate your interest in PARCA and its work. Why not share this information with a friend or colleague who might want to join our mailing list?

Jim Williams

Executive Director

What do Alabamians think?

Once again, the 2012 PARCA Survey provides a view of what Alabamians think about a number of hot button issues for the coming legislative session, including budget reform, immigration, local control of schools and oversight of local finances. To see the full results of the survey included in The PARCA Quarterly, Winter 2012, click here.
