DonorSnap Header
We've made some changes to the menu...

There's nothing to be alarmed about here. DonorSnap has grown so much over the past few years that the additional features were starting to get a little confusing and unorganized. To fix that problem, we've renamed some of the items in the Processing menu found at the top of the screen.

Here's what it used to look like:

First off, we needed to to group all of the documents and labels into one category to avoid confusion. Creatively, we named it "Documents and Labels."

Next, we renamed "Acknowledgement E-Mail" to "Organization Contact E-Mail." This name is a little more descriptive and will also help avoid confusion. This is where you process the emails that are sent to your organization contacts so that they can personally thank your donors for any new gifts. Learn more about the Organization Contact Email.

Here's what it looks like now with the sub-menu extended:

Now if you are wondering what each of these four choices are, keep reading.

Donation Acknowledgement Letters: Formerly titled "Acknowledgement Word Document (Process)"

This is where you go to process your acknowledgement letters using the Word document that you have already uploaded to DonorSnap. You can also flag your donation batches as acknowledged here.

DataMiner Batch Letters: Formerly titled "Merge Documents"

If you are looking to use DataMiner Platinum or Gold to create a target list and mail merge into a Word document directly from DonorSnap, choose this one. This will be the place you process your documents after you upload your letter to DonorSnap.

Upload / Download / Delete: Formerly titled "Acknowledgement Word Document (Upload/Download/Delete)

This page is now where you will manage your documents for both Donation Acknowledgement Letters and DataMiner Batch Letters.

Labels / Text Letters: Formerly titled "Manage Multiple Documents & Labels"

This is where you go to create and process your labels for either donations waiting to be acknowledged or DataMiner batches. You can also create and process basic text letters without having to upload a Word mail merge document. You'll be able to pull in the fields that you need and merge the data into the letters without ever having to leave DonorSnap. The downside is that your font choices are limited and you cannot add images to these documents.

Look for new videos on each of these in the next monthly newsletter. If you have questions before then, please send an email to our support department at feedback@donorsnap.com.
