A Message from the Chairman, Kevin Harrington
TVGoods had an amazing showing at the Home and Housewares Show in Chicago this year. We had a great time and premiered several hot new products including Grillex, Chum Chamber, Instant Zipper, and CitiKitty. Because of the overwhelming interest in our new products and the outpouring of support we have received recently, we have decided to create a newsletter to keep all of our friends and fellow entrepreneurs up to date on TVGoods happenings. TVGoods premieres Grillex Campaign with Celebrity Chef Host Devin Alexander
TVGoods and partner High County Industries premiered the Grillex, an indoor, compact, smokeless grill for cooking Brazilian barbeque at home at the annual Home and Housewares Show this year with great reception.
Grillex is a modern, at-home twist to churrasco, the Brazilian cooking style taking the U.S. by storm. This cooking st yle is also popular around the world, with huge support globally. Grillex is a compact smokeless grill that is placed over a traditional gas burner. Food is placed on skewers in baskets suspended vertically around the heat source. A circular diffuser at the base of the Grillex evenly convects the heat creating a perfect environment for cooking any variation of meats, vegetables, fruits and more. A full meal for four can be served in just 20 minutes.
TVGoods produced a traditional 30-minute show in both English and Spanish for the product, which features acclaimed celebrity Chef Devin Alexander. It is scheduled to run on several networks at all times during the day, the program will feature Chef Alexander creating meals using the Grillex in different settings with a variety of different foods.
At the Housewares Show, Chef Alexander demonstrated how the Grillex works in live, audience attended demos and discussed the Brazilian style of churrasco cooking and how it contributes to a delicious and healthy lifestyle. She handed out hundreds of samples of Grillex-cooked food to excited guests. She performed demonstrations in the Grillex booth and also was featured on the main stage as a celebrity chef.
Chef Alexander is slated to make multiple television appearances, event appearances and other publicity appearances in support of the brand. In addition to creating sales opportunities, the TV segments are designed to generate valuable brand awareness for Grillex. While the immediate distribution model will focus on television and Internet sales, Grillex products will be available in retail settings by the end of Q3, just in time for the 2011 holiday shopping season.
"I've dedicated my life to promoting healthy eating and living habits that don't require people to deprive themselves," said Chef Devin Alexander. "The churrasco style of cooking lets fat drip away and allows the cook in the house to prepare easy and diverse meals with very little clean-up. Even the picky eaters will be happy."
"We're so excited because this product is so revolutionary. Brazilian restaurants are such a hot trend right now, as is healthy living. We've combined this in the Grillex. We have a lot of interest from retailers and are looking forward to the spot airing," said TVGoods CEO Steve Rogai.

TV Goods to launch national marketing campaign for the Chum Chamber™
The Chum Chamber™ is the first no-mess chumming device to use Chum Wow™ tablets instead of meat.
TVGoods has acquired exclusive marketing rights to the Chum Chamber™, a chumming device that uses effervescent Chum Wow™ tablets, chum-flavored tablets, to create a fish feeding frenzy in November 2010 and has recently begun testing the product.
The Chum Chamber™ looks similar to a large bobber and can be cast like a regular line. A Chum Wow™ tablet is placed into the Chum Chamber™ and will immediately dissolve once put in water. It is the only known mess-free chumming device that can be cast into place. Each Chum Wow™ tablet has dehydrated minnows, blood, blue cheese flavor, dried fresh worms, dehydrated toads, flour, mica, garlic and an effervescent base.
"I am so excited about the Chum Chamber. Fishing is such a huge sport and this brings the fish directly to you with no mess. Kevin made the Flying Lure a household name and he certainly knows this niche," said Steve Rogai, CEO of TVGoods.
