As I See It... | |
| Michael S. Quirk Scout Executive |
Why the Scout uniform you might ask (or hear a boy ask)?
All Scouts should wear a Scout uniform. Wearing the Scout uniform helps boys get the most from their Scouting experience. Scouts have more fun, learn more and advance faster. Practically speaking, it is an example of Scouting's wide-ranging brotherhood-Scouts from ever race, religion and economic level all wearing the same uniform, customized only by their rank and leadership insignia. Our uniform is a reminder to all who wear it that millions have come before and millions will follow and each Scout has the responsibility to wear his advancement proudly. It is a constant reminder to live in accordance with the high standards of Scouting, and to "Be Prepared" and "Do a Good Turn Daily". I'm proud to be a Scout...and proud to wear my Scout uniform.
