That's Right! I choose to respond to all things with joy and love
That's Right! My heart opens in peaceful communication
That's Right! Life provides all that is needed for my growth
That's Right! I rejoice in the successes of others
That's Right! The more I practice love, the better I feel
The Dalai Lama speaks of the art of Cultivating Love in our lives. Here is a thought pattern that we can use, first for our friends, for those about whom we feel neutral, and finally, perceived enemies:
- This person wants happiness but is deprived. How nice it would be if she or he could be imbued with happiness and all of its causes!
- This person wants happiness but is deprived. May she or he be imbued with happiness and all its causes.
- This person wants happiness but is deprived. I will do whatever I can to help her or him to be imbued with happiness and all the causes of happiness!
Begin with those you love - picture the person sitting in front of you and let this thought process flow until it is felt all through the body. As you become more aligned with sending love to specific people in your life, reach out to others with your mind and your intent. This can be a powerful addition to meditation, gratitude walks, or used in the midst of personal challenges as a way to shift to a new perception.
The energy field of the body changes to a higher frequency as we use our intention to Cultivate Love. It brings a greater sense of peace, changes our outlook and improves mind/body/spirit balance and physical health.
There are times when it is appropriate to seek the counsel of the teachers in our lives and times we learn the most by assisting others. As a spiritual seeker, allow yourself the opportunity to help others when you can, and in doing so, attain your own enlightenment.
Today my intent is to Cultivate Love. In the process, I open myself to receive new information, motivation, empowerment and balance. I am blessed. Those who allow me to articulate and share my lessons become the greatest teachers of all. |
