I awoke this morning with the call of Beltane in my soul. Traditionally, Beltane is a celebration of fertility, new beginnings and abundance. Not being one to take part in rituals, I've decided to journey with Zen Master Cujo to the ancient Mariposa Grove of Sequoias, just inside the gates of Yosemite.

Redwood Sequoia trees represent protection and balance and open our energies so that new visions can be pursued. Sequoias only grow in groves and the energy within allows us to connect with the sacredness of the planet. Through these protectors, we learn patience and absorb their strength into our auric fields. The spirit of the Redwood helps the aware seeker to put life in an entirely new perspective. Their essence awakens new insight into our own personal vision of life and how we move through the world.

I honor the spirit of Beltane today by realigning my soul's essence with the essence of our beautiful planet. I am willing to accept the balance and joy offered through experiencing the fragrances of the air, the songs of the birds, the humming and buzzing of insects, the feel of a tree, the grounding of the earth and the beauty of the rising sun.

Today my intent is to honor the sacredness of all life. As I embark upon the next phase of my soul's journey, I enter the etheric realms of healing, awakened spiritual vision and whatever miracles await.
