Vermentino 2009 Moris Farms $16/bottle
This bright and delicious white wine hails from the Maremma region of Tuscany's coast. The wine has a pretty pale gold color with the brightness of gooseberries and orange blossom with a hint of slate. The wine has a smooth and pleasant finish and will pair beautifully with trout and other fish and medium to strong cheeses.
Danieli Soave 2009 Fattori $15/bottle
This Veronese white wine is very typical of well made Soave-smooth, lush and just a bit fruity and floral to captivate one's senses. Flower blossoms and ripe pears dominate the nose and a silken texture take over the palate-yum!!
Puydeval 2009 $18/bottle
This southern red French wine has a deeply concentrated dark color that promises intensity and delivers. The wine is made up of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and a hint of Merlot. Once you get past the color, aromas of dark blackberry, juniper and cocoa take over and continue in the flavor profile with a finish of caramelized red fruit-just delicious. A winter evening in front of the fire with some cheese and nuts would complete this wine.
