Precision Digital ProVu just got Smarter

  PD6060

Precison Digital is pleased to announce the newest addition to the ProVu Series of process displays with the PD6060, adding dual input capability and math capabilities. Each input can independently be configured for type, linearization, and scaling. The math functionality includes:

  • addition,
  • difference,
  • average,
  • multiplication,
  • division, and more.

With available options like dual loop power supplies for field transmitters and an analog output that is assignable to either input, or to the resulting math function, a wide array of applications open up like intake screen differential, totaling multiple flow, chemical pacing, etc. To learn more about the PD6060, visit www.predig.com for videos, datasheets, manuals and more.

FCI Gas Flowmeters

FCI ST51
ST51

The FCI ST50 and ST75 Series Flow Meters are an accurate, easy to install, no moving parts mass flow meter solution. Model ST50 is used for compressed air and nitrogen flow. Model ST51 is used for measuring biogas, digester gas, methane and natural gas. The ST50 Series utilizes FCI proven thermal dispersion technology to provide direct mass flow measurement resulting in higher performance at a lower cost than orifice plates, DP, Vortex shedding and other thermal devices. The meter installs in line sizes ranging from 2 to 24 inches.

The ST75 is an in-line flow meter for line sizes from ¼ to 2 inches. An integral flow conditioner in the ST75V allows it to maintain high accuracy in short pipe runs.

Radar Gauge with Kynar Sensor

Siemns LR250 KynarSiemens LR250 with threaded PVDF (Kynar) antenna is a 2-wire, 25 GHz pulse radar level transmitter for continuous monitoring of liquids and slurries. The Kynar sensor allows it to be used in chemically aggressive applications up to 176°F. Key applications include liquid bulk storage tanks, process vessels with agitators, and vaporous liquids.

The 25 GHz frequency creates a narrow, focused beam allowing for smaller antenna options and decreasing sensitivity to obstructions.

SITRANS LR250 includes a graphical local user interface (LUI) that improves setup and operation by including an intuitive Quick Start Wizard, and echo profile displays for diagnostic support.

Tech Tip

Problem: Our non-HART DCS can only read the primary variable signal from our multivariable transmitter but I would like to monitor the other information in the HART signal.

Solution: The Moore Industries model SPA HART loop monitor connects in the control room and provides a 4-20mA output representing any one of the other HART variables. Its three relays can be set to alarm on an out-of-range condition for any of the variables. A fourth relay monitors the overall "health" of your HART transmitter.

Other applications for HART loop monitor:

  • Coriolis flow meter: Mass flow, density, volumetric flow, temperature
  • Valve positioner: Valve position, limit alarm
  • Interface level from guided wave radar level transmitter
