Tim Pappert

Gilson Engineering is pleased to announce that Tim Pappert has been promoted to outside sales.  Tim has 8 years of experience with Gilson as an Applications Engineer.  Tim will be handling the territory previously covered by Denny Petrovich.


Denny is now working directly for Siemens, where he is the manager of the food and beverage group.

Problem:  We're experiencing signal drift between the 4-wire field transmitter and the grounded receiver on our newly commissioned loop. What's causing this problem?


Moore Isolator 

Solution: The difference in potentials between two grounded, non-isolated devices may result in a ground loop.  Installing a SIY or SIX to break the galvanic path prevents the effects of ground loops, motor noise, and electrical interference.

The Puls DC - UPS Control Unit design utilizes a single 12 Volt battery to provide 24 Volt DC power to PLCs, radio based telemetry systems and other sensitive systems where the loss of data and long restart cycles cannot be tolerated.

Veris Accelabar Flowmeter

  Veris Accelabar

The Accelabar consists of a unique toroidal nozzle design and a Verabar averaging pitot. The nozzle has a patented "settling distance" that accelerates, linearizes and stabilizes the velocity profile sensed by the Verabar. The Verabar located within the nozzle accurately measures and significantly increases the differential pressure output to increase the operating range, with turndowns of up to 65:1.


The Accelabar can be used in extremely limited straight run piping configurations. The straight run is integral to the meter. No additional straight run is required. The Accelabar is ideal for the following flow applications:

Siemens LR560 78 GHz Radar Level Transmitter



LR560 radar level transmitter

The LR560 is the first level transmitter in the world to operate at 78GHz frequency.  The high frequency gives the unit a narrow 4 beam angle and allows us to eliminate the need for a horn.  We no longer have to worry about obstructions in the tank or tall mounting nozzles.  The LR560 is a 2-wire unit that can measure out to 300 feet.  The Quick Start Wizard helps you set up the unit in a few minutes and includes graphics and a backlight.  The unit is resistant to dust build up, so this is ideal for your bulk solids measuring.  This unit has been tested in applications across the country including cement, plastic pellets,   coal, sand, lime, and hot mix asphalt.  The LR560 may be configured via the integral display interface, remote hand programmer, or via HART.
