Program Dates: August 2012 - May 2013
Application deadline is June 15, 2012
The President's Fellowship will sponsor up to 10 stipend fellows during the 2012 - 2013 academic year to participate in the President's Symposium and White Paper Project to address Civility as a Core Instructional Value at UM. Those selected will help define and articulate, from an interprofessional student perspective, the importance of civility on a health, legal and human services campus.

Register here RAD for Men teaches violence prevention and a basic self defense program. It is designed to empower men to make different decisions when confronted with aggressive behavior. Writer Charlotte Perkins Gilman, who was deterred from pursuing a career to preserve her health, rejected 19th century ideas about gender in a terrifying short story titled "The Yellow Wall-Paper." The tale was an indictment of the medical profession and restrictions on opportunities for women
