The Wellness Hub supports a mother's choice to breastfeed her baby while pursuing her graduate or professional degree. There are currently two Lactation Centers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Relaxation Room As part of the Wellness Hub's commitment to student academic-life balance, there is a Relaxation Room open for student use.

Mindful Control of Stress |

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes are once again
available to all UM students. This program helps you enhance your
overall health and quality of life through simple and effective stress
reduction techniques taught by professional instructors, Deborah
Rejent, DSW, MSSW, MA, and Catherine Kelleher, RN, MS, MPH,
ScD.
Learn how to use mindfulness techniques like meditation,
body scans, mindful eating, and gentle yoga to manage the stresses
of everyday life.
Enrollment is limited and there is a $50 materials fee.

The UM Caravan Service will be modified for the 2011 - 2012 academic year as follows:
1) One vehicle will operate for seven (7) hours a day, five (5) days a week (Monday through Friday, 5:30 pm to 12 am, with the last call taken between 11:30 p.m. and 11:45 pm..).
2) There will be NO week-end service.
No Caravan Service on the following designated days and observed holidays:
- Friday, September 2nd - Campus Closed due to Grand Prix Race
- Monday, September 5th - Labor Day Holiday
- Thursday and Friday, November 24th and November 25th - Thanksgiving Holiday
