The construction has resulted in a double-lane closure along the north side of Pratt Street between Greene and Light Streets. Commuters should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns while traveling in this vicinity.

Please be aware:
1. Motorists should use both open lanes of travel along this section of Pratt Street.
2. The dedicated bus/bike lane and exclusive turn lanes on Pratt from Paca to Calvert Streets will be suspended during the construction.

Reference Department Announces New Service

Consent Form Review for New Investigators

Consent Form

Are you an investigator preparing a research protocol submission to the IRB?

This new service may be of interest!

HS/HSL librarians serving on the UMB Institutional Review Board have noticed that many research consent forms are written above the recommended reading level for patients and are often confusing and difficult to understand. The Reference Department is now offering a pilot service to review your consent form before it is submitted with your protocol. They will offer suggestions for simplified language and note key sections that need revision or are likely to be confusing for patients. They will return the form to you with these suggestions within three business days. You can submit your consent forms on the HS/HSL Web site to www.hshsl.umaryland.edu/assistance/irb (in the Assistance section).

If you have any questions, please call Debra Berlanstein at 410.706.8862
