Authentic Movement Workshop

Authentic Movement
Saturday, December 4
SMC Campus Center
Room 349

Come experience Authentic Movement - a creative form of self-exploration. Check in with yourself as we wind down on a tough semester! Release, explore, reacquaint you with you.

Everyone is welcome - no prior experience is necessary.
Combining movement for self-expression with mindfulness, improvisation, and active imagination, Authentic Movement is a modality used to integrate creativity into relaxation and personal insight. This is a safe and welcoming environment. We'll work together to explore, so come prepared to move in easy fitting clothing (and bare feet). Feel free to bring a journal for processing thoughts, sensations, emotions, and impulses. Due to the quiet and personal nature of our work, we ask participants to arrive promptly.
Questions? Email Susan Taylor at: Stay1008@umaryland.edu.

Future workshops are scheduled for:
Saturday, December 4 and Saturday February 19, 2011.

This event is sponsored by Creativity in Caring : for Learning and Community and USGA.
