Sailing the Inner Harbor

Meet at Campus Center at 9:00 a.m.
Return by 5:00 p.m.
Cost is $40 per person
 
The Wellness Hub is teaming up with the Baltimore Downtown Sailing Club for a great day on the water just down the street from campus.   Sites include the Inner Harbor and the historic neighborhoods of Fells Point and Federal Hill, and the Fort McHenry National Monument.  After your sailing adventures, you will head to the legendary Cross Street Market in Federal Hill for ice cream.  
 
Returning Excess Loan Funds
student moneyStudents are highly encouraged to return excess loan funds to their lender.  If you choose to return excess funds please email your counselor with some dates and times that you are available between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to set up an appointment.  Students must have the funds available to return as they will need to write a check to the University on the day of the appointment.  In most cases, funds can be returned interest and fee free!

Get Feedback on Your Paper
The Writing Center, located on the 3rd Floor of the Campus Center in Student Services suite 302 is a FREE service for students. Writing center consultants are professors and professional writers, as well as experts in APA style. They can provide feedback on completed papers or papers in progress.
 
Currently, the Writing Center is sponsoring a contest. Win a backpack of goodies simply by becoming a Facebook Fan of the Writing Center before October 1, 2010.

Mental Health Day Screenings

The University of Maryland Counseling Center will be celebrating World Mental Health Day by offering students access to their choice of screening tools and the opportunity to confidentially meet with a licensed professional counselor to interpret the results and offer recommendations. 
 
Remember, good mental health is key to wellness and academic life blance.
