We are pleased to announce that Temple University School of Medicine has selected LCMS+ for their curriculum management solution.

Dr. Gerald H. Sterling, Senior Associate Dean for Education, explains why TUSM chose LCMS+:

"LCMS+ offers us a comprehensive learning management tool that is user-friendly for students, faculty and administration. It enhances our ability to manage national and school competencies throughout the curriculum, faculty teaching effort and student performance... in a single system."

We are very happy to welcome Temple University School of Medicine to the family of LCMS+ schools and look forward to a long and productive partnership.

News from LCMS+
Usually we like to focus on news from our client schools and what's happening in healthcare education - things that matter to you. But there are some great things happening inside LCMS+ that we'd like you to know about too!

Improved support capabilities: We are bringing on some part-time technical pros to augment our development efforts, with the goal of adding multiple full-time positions in the coming year. Soon you'll also meet our new Client Services team who will become your first line of communication with us. Make sure to stop by Booth 311 at the AAMC Annual Meeting to say hello to all of us!

New ways of doing things: Our company's early success is exciting, but now we need to put some processes in place to help us grow while serving you better. In the coming weeks you'll hear from us about new client request and support procedures that are designed to make everyone's lives easier and everyone's workflow a bit more predictable.

We'll share more with you in San Francisco, including a sneak peek at the new LCMS+ user experience awaiting you in 2013. We look forward to seeing you at Booth 311!

LCMS+ Improves MedEd in Africa
Did you know that some countries in Africa have only one doctor for every 50,000 people?

The Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) supports foreign institutions in Sub-Saharan African countries that receive PEPFAR (U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) funds. PEPFAR's goal is to increase the number of new health care workers by 140,000, strengthen medical education systems in the countries in which they exist, and build clinical and research capacity in Africa as part of a retention strategy for medical school faculty and clinical professors.

Our client schools, Duke University School of Medicine and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Tanzania, have partnered through the MEPI program with great success. A key component of their partnership is the use of the LCMS+ curriculum management system to organize, track and assess their educational efforts.

Lucy Killewo, LMS Specialist at KCMC, says:

"LCMS+ is a powerful tool that, once a school has put it into place, is almost impossible to live without... We have seen significant changes in both learning and teaching, with students enjoying easy access to course materials, handy information and immediate system feedback."

We are proud to contribute to this very important initiative and congratulate KCMC on all its hard work and success!
