Our Newest Partner School
The University of Louisville School of Medicine has selected LCMS+ as its curriculum management solution for medical education.
Kent Gardner, Director of Instructional Technology, says that "the primary reason we chose LCMS+ is that it best met our criteria for the data we needed to capture and the ease with which the faculty and students can use it... We believe [LCMS+] will greatly enhance our ability to graduate better-prepared doctors."
One of the oldest medical schools in the United States, the University of Louisville School of Medicine is ranked among the top third of all medical schools in the nation. We are very proud of this new partnership, and we welcome the University of Louisville School of Medicine to the family of LCMS+ schools!

LCMS+ Reaches A New Milestone
How do you assign a due date to something that doesn't fall on a particular date? For example, "Complete this assignment by the end of next week." Our Milestones feature was designed to handle this challenge.
You can use the Milestones interface to manage curricular activities that span more than one day. Track events that take a week, a month or even a year. You can also use Milestones to create exams and establish drop boxes for students. The system automatically sends reminders to students to turn their materials in on time. It also gives faculty the management tools to track those assignments.
Students get a message: "Your draft is due by July 1." When they are ready to turn in their assignment, they simply log on and drop it off. Faculty receive a list of all documents uploaded and can quickly determine which students' work they have looked at.
Drop us a line if you have any questions about how Milestones could help you advance to the next step in your curriculum management efforts.

$10K Student Challenge: Design a Healthcare App
The Institute of Medicine and National Academy of Engineering have launched a contest to spur undergraduate and graduate students to create health-related apps. The prize for the winning team: $10,000.
Students pursuing degrees toward careers in health, engineering and computer science are eligible to participate in the "Go Viral to Improve Health" competition.
The contest was designed to inspire students to work in interdisciplinary teams and transform health data into mobile apps, online tools or games or other innovative products that solve vexing health problems. Entries will be assessed on their design, usability, and how well they integrate public health data.
According to the IOM, today "students have an unprecedented opportunity to create interactive apps and other tools that engage and empower people in ways that lead to better health." We agree, there should be an app for that!
