Implementation: A Short, Sweet Story
|
Yale School of Medicine gets LCMS+ up and running in less than a week
In July, we completed implementation of LCMS+ for both UME and the Physician Assistant program at Yale School of Medicine, a short ten weeks after being selected as their curriculum management solution.
"We had a very aggressive implementation schedule," says Dr. Michael Schwartz, Assistant Dean for Curriculum at YSM. "The development team at LCMS+ made sure that we were operational before leaving Yale and worked with us in a very collaborative and "can do" manner, approaching every challenge with a positive attitude that made working with them an absolute pleasure."

System architect David Wiener, who oversaw the installation, was pleased with the results as well. "There was a lot of prep work by the Yale staff, but we essentially went from a bare metal system to a completely installed, populated, and working LMS in about 4.5 days."
Obviously, every school's scope and specifications are different. However, implementation doesn't need to be a nightmare for anyone. LCMS+ has the team, the talent and the good humor to help you through the process.
Give us a call or drop us a line. We'd be glad to assess what your implementation schedule might look like - with no obligation.

Do you have multiple programs working together? LCMS+ can help
|
Our implementation at Yale School of Medicine covers both their UME and Physician Assistant programs. This means they need an architecture that can accommodate two separate programs while still allowing varying degrees of integration.
LCMS+ gives you the ability to host multiple programs in one database - for example, Med School, Physician Assistant and Nursing. This means your programs can share the resources they have in common, such as rooms, faculty and staff, while maintaining their own goals and objectives, exams, etc. This is one more way LCMS+ provides one of the most fully-integrated and flexible curriculum management systems available for medical education. Give us a call or drop us a line and we'd be glad to share some ideas about how your school or program can benefit from LCMS+.

The latest and greatest from LCMS+
|
We are completing the beta testing of our Evaluation Module which now includes:
- Branching logic
- Email notification on flagged responses (i.e., is a student depressed? If so, inform the designated faculty member immediately)
- New management functions for the evaluation administrator
Our Portfolio Module is also being expanded. It currently allows for the collection of documents, but we are adding the ability to collect score and grade information as well. We are developing additional features in accordance with the new MedBiquitous standard specifications for portfolios.
CAS authentication has been added as a new option in the LCMS+ authentication module, allowing users to logon via the institution's central CAS authentication, and is now in use at Yale School of Medicine and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Have a feature you're interested in? There are too many to list here. Give us a call or email us - it may already be part of the LCMS+ solution.
