We are very pleased to announce that the University of Kansas School of Medicine has selected LCMS+ as its curriculum management system for undergraduate medical education.
According to Dr. Giulia Bonaminio, associate dean for medical education at KU Medical Center, "the fact that LCMS+ was developed by a medical school for medical school curricula makes it particularly applicable" for Kansas, recognized as one of the nation's top schools for producing primary care and rural physicians. We look forward to partnering with the KU School of Medicine to further their vision of "making our communities, state, country and world a healthier place."

System improvements: Version 0.9 of the Automated Course Evaluations has been released to our beta testers. This system generates course surveys that can be scheduled for release and automatically link faculty to the survey, including pictures and links to learning events. Once beta testing is completed, work will proceed on the analytics engine for automated reports. This will result in a completely automated course evaluation system. Stay tuned!

Competency-based education is the future - can your system track that?
The AAMC recently wrote that "with respect to the future, competency-based medical education is emerging in many of the requirements now faced by graduating medical students, residents, and practicing physicians." A key feature of LCMS+ is the ability to track core competencies. Drop us a line and we'll tell you more about how we can help you align with this new paradigm in medical education.

Remember, you're always welcome to visit the LCMS+ demonstration site or check out the instructions in our wiki.
We depend on your feedback to continually improve our learning and curriculum management systems. Please let us know what you think of these new functions or any other feature of LCMS+ by sending us an email or calling us at 919-923-0806.
