Greetings!
Jesus said, "Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. Wherever they go, they will find green pastures. The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness."
(John 10:9-10) This is one of my favorite passages in the Gospel of John. I like to read it whenever I start feeling like I'm being "mistreated" by God... you know, those times you feel sorry for yourself, or think He's asking too much of you? This passage reminds, that Jesus' way - even when its hard - is the best way, and His purpose for me is for me to live life to the fullest. It is the enemy who tries to trick us into mediocrity, or a life-style that may have immediate pleasure, but leads to death and destruction. After I read this scripture, it inspires me to live life to the fullest, whatever that may be. I hope you have the same desire for your life, and for our church. Sure there are short-cuts, there is an "easier" path, but those paths are just the tricks of the enemy. Jesus' way is ALWAYS best for us. He loves us, we can trust Him - even when it is hard. We are coming to the end of our sermon series, A Big Happy Family. I hope you will join me (even when its hard) as we try to live our lives together in the fullest way possible. Let's quick settling for the simple - let's strive for the best. Join us this week as we wrap up this series by talking about how we can celebrate together as God's family. We hope to see you in church.

FUMC Church-wide Lenten Study 24 Hours That Changed the World, by Rev. Adam Hamilton
The books for this study will be available on Sunday for those people that ordered them. Please pick them up before or after your worship service in the Welcome Center. (If we run out and there is still a need for more, we can order them).
Beginning March 13, all of our Adult Sunday School classes will be doing this study together. We have added a couple of other classes, so now we truly have a class for anyone and everyone that wants to join. (Also, beginning March 23, Katy will lead the class on Wednesday night for those who can't make it on Sundays).
This will be a great way for our church to focus on the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ for a 40 day period. We hope you will join us as we begin.

Youth Ski Trip - We Need Your Help! Donate Baked Goods and Snacks for the trip
As you may be aware, we have youth from our church going on a ski trip to Keystone, CO over Spring Break. First of all, we ask for your prayers for this trip: for safety, for closer relationships, for God to do amazing things, and for our sponsors.
Secondly, the youth could use your help in collecting baked-goods and snacks for the trip. If you can help with this, simply bake up your best recipe (or buy your favorite snack) pack it for travel, and bring it to the church no later than March 13. This is a simple way we can let the kids know we care about them, and it is something everyone can do. Feed a youth - it does a body good!
