Tip of the Month

When my Mother needed a shower I would say to her, "Mom, you wanted me to remind you to take a shower this morning." It worked every time. I used it in other ways, too. It made her feel like it was her idea or decision.

Try this same technique with your residents.  It can work for all kinds of things, not just showers

Tip from Caregiver.com and credit goes to Myra Wells of Ypsilanti, MI.

Scotrtsdale Casa de Paradise

Congratulations to Scottsdale Casa de Paradise, our AALHA home of the month for August.

Lynne Rone is the owner and operator and says "Scottsdale Casa de Paradise is privately owned and operated, which enables us to be more personally involved with our residents and their families. We are located on two acres in a private, wooded setting, just minutes from Historic Downtown Scottsdale and close to many fun activities for our residents to enjoy."

"Our home is a beautiful, resort-styled Assisted Living Community, ready to provide your loved one with the care they need. We take pride in providing a "homelike" environment for our residents, offering all the amenities of home with the added benefit of having members of our friendly, caring staff at hand 24 hours a day."
