Regional Care Groups
A Testimony from Carter Stepper: Wheatland's Care Groups have been instrumental not only in our transition to a new church, but to a new city as well. It is easy to become just another face in church, but the more intimate level of fellowship provided better opportunities for us to connect in the church community. My wife and I have benefitted greatly from the insights of others, the time of prayer for and with one another, and the intentional ministering to one another's needs. It would be difficult to overstate the impact Care Group has had on us! ~Carter & Hollie Stepper have been worshipping at Wheatland for about one year.
Our Care Groups are designed to enfold you into the life of Wheatland and the community in which you live. We have divided our city and the outlying areas into regional districts. There are groups that meet in each "field". Our worship together each Sunday morning is the most important thing we do, but if you are a regular attendee or member here at Wheatland, these gatherings enrich and enliven our worship together by strengthening our love and care for one another. Check the church website to find out who your Care Group Leader is and when your group meets. Questions? Email Assoc. Pastor Luke Le Duc. Two Sunday Classes for Adults through July 10th
NOTE: These classes are not meeting on June 5th (our 15th anniversary reception) or on June 26th (our annual congregation meeting).
Getting to the Heart of Parenting-Parenting is more than using your power to get children to behave in certain ways. Parenting is about the exposure and change of the child's heart. When the heart of a child changes, the behavioral change that is needed will last. Learn how to be an instrument of heart-changing grace in the little moments of life that God will give you with your children, whether they are toddlers or teens. We will watch a 25 minute video presentation by Paul Tripp and then discuss the material. This class meets in the Sanctuary and is led by Luke Le Duc with discussions facilitated by various parents in our congregation.
The Gospel of Mark-The Gospel of Mark may be the earliest record of Jesus life and ministry. Mark is in Rome and writing for a church which the Roman emperor is persecuting. Paul has been martyred and Peter too; the infant church is like a ship tossed on the waves of an uncontrollable storm as it had been during Jesus'ministry (Mark 4). Will it survive? Where will it find strength? This Gospel provides the answers to these questions-and not only for the early church-for the church today as well. This class meets in the Living Room of the Study Center and is led by Matt Clark and Keith Winder.
High School and College Girls Summer Study
All senior high and college girls: Join us for Bible study every Wednesday from 7:30-9:00pm at Wheatland from now through August 17th. We are studying the book of 1 John to discover the biblical answer to, "How do you know you are a Christian?" The truths of this book challenge us to understand how we know we are Christians both in belief and behavior. Contact Laura Boone (717-572-6943 or lmb5435@psu.edu) with any questions.
Summer Fellowship for College Students
College Students: Are you home for the summer and looking for people to hang out with? Do you miss the fellowship of your friends on campus and want to make some new friends? Then join us for Summer RUF. We meet June 30, July 14, 28, and August 11 at 6:30pm at Rob and Jenny Ilderton's home (1211 Elm Ave.) for fun, fellowship, and a brief topical discussion. Call or email Rob for more info (279.1815 or rilderton@ruf.org).
2011 Women in the Church International Conference
October 7-9, 2011 · Atlanta, Georgia
The theme for this conference is a grand and glorious look at the full orbed grace of God in our lives - Amazing Grace 360! Stay connected to the conference, by using the CEP website www.AmazingGrace360.com to see the full faculty of gifted men and women whom God is raising up to lead and teach us. We are encouraging girls 13 years and up to attend.
Nancy Guthrie, a gifted teacher, writer, and conference speaker will serve as the Conference teacher. Worship and music will be led by Kevin Twit of Indelible Grace and Laura Story. The preacher for this year's event will be Brian Habig, pastor of the Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina, and former Reformed University Minister.
It's a time to rehearse the scope and surety of God's grace in our lives, to come together as this portion of His body to worship, learn, celebrate, anticipate, and focus on His eternal grace to and in us. |

Food Bank To meet the community's food needs, the Deaconate collects food on the 2nd Sunday of each month for our congregation, for Water Street Rescue Mission, and for the Landisville Food Bank. Bring in non-perishable household or food items and place them in the Lobby. Needed items are canned meat, one-can meals, vegetables, shampoo, hand soap, toilet paper, and laundry detergent.
Making Room for Our Guests If you regularly come to the 2nd service, you probably notice that our Sanctuary is pretty full. To make room for our guests, you might consider a switch to the early service. And if you do come to the 2nd service, please consider parking in the overflow lot if you are able (1059 Columbia Ave.; turn in by the Dr. Scott Creisher & Associates sign), so that there are plenty of parking spaces for our guests. Thank you for serving in these ways!

| Sunday at the Park | |
Sunday at the Park is an informal gathering announced at different times throughout the year. It is an opportunity, always weather permitting, to gather with your church family after Sunday Worship to enjoy a picnic lunch (or picked-up lunch!) at Buchanan Park (just a half mile from the church). Any and all are invited. Bring your own lunch and a blanket or chairs to sit on. There is a playground, as well as plenty of space to throw a football, baseball, or frisbee. Get to know other Wheatlanders while enjoying the beauty of creation in our backyard. Be a presence in our community while modeling biblical community. Our next Sunday at the Park is scheduled for Sunday, July 17th. Meet at the playground area. Invite someone to join you. We hope to see you there! | |

Growing at Wheatland
| |
Our life together here at Wheatland is intended to grow us all up into maturity in faith and life. One of the ways we believe this happens is through intentional discipleship with one another. Are you intentionally pursuing growth in grace in this community that God has placed you? If you are interested in coming together with 2 or 3 other people for this type of focused study, contact
