Attention Pyramid Society Members! What could be more exciting than marking Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, and Qatar on your travel calendar in 2012??

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND
 While it's the "dead of winter" in many parts of the world, chart your course in January and February for warm weather and a trip "Down Under!"
Our Australian and New Zealand Pyramid Society members generously sponsored a trip for two to Australia and New Zealand, which was auctioned at an earlier Egyptian Event. The lucky trip winners could not stop raving about the countries, the horses and the hospitality of their sponsoring hosts.
Now these same gracious sponsors are inviting members of The Pyramid Society to come visit them in 2012!
The New Zealand National Championships are scheduled on the South Island on January 14th- 15th, and the Australian East Coast Championships will be held on February 9th - 12th.
- Bev Jones of Gerzanne Stud welcomes anyone attending the NZ Championships to stay the night or share a meal with them, and they'd love to show you their beautiful horses! Contact Bev to coordinate your visit (bev@gerzannestud.com).
- Fanus and Ria Crous of Rhodium Arabian Stud invite you to their "Open Day" on Saturday, January 28th. Please review THIS FLIER and plan to join them at the Isola Equestrian Centre near Auckland, New Zealand, for this special parade of resident stallions, mares and foals.
- Louise Cordina and Glenn North of Saba Arabians welcome any Pyramid Society members to a post-show cocktail party after the East Coast Championships. Contact Louise at Saba for further details (louise@cordina.com.au).
- Marion Richmond of Simeon Stud invites any and all Pyramid Society members visiting Australia and New Zealand to visit Simeon Stud and "walk the pastures with me and talk about the Simeon horses and breeding programs of the past, the present and the future." KUWAIT AND QATAR
In 2010 Ansata Hejazi and Ashhal Al Rayyan sponsored a trip to visit them in Kuwait and Qatar, respectively. Gary and Sandra Fernandes were the lucky purchasers of this once-in-a-lifetime trip, and Gary's comments summed up their experience in two precise words: "Absolutely priceless." It's now our turn to reciprocate to our host countries for their incredible generosity, and we're inviting you along!
The Pyramid Society's coordinated trip in 2012 to Kuwait and Qatar will be based around their shows as follows:
KUWAIT The International Championships in Kuwait on Wednesday, February 15th and Thursday, February 16th, followed by The first International Egyptian Event Kuwait on Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th.
The show will begin at 1:00pm daily. The mornings will be filled with visits to stud farms and other special exhibitions. Additional stud visits are also scheduled for Sunday, February 19th and Monday, February 20th.
In addition, the Kuwait Organizing Committee has offered to put together a sight-seeing tour of Kuwait City on Tuesday, February 21st, giving guests a chance to experience the city before departing for Qatar on Wednesday, February 22nd.
QATAR
The show in Qatar, sponsored by the Racing and Equestrian Club, is tentatively scheduled for February 23rd - 25th, with additional details to follow.
TRIP SPECIFICS
- Travel arrangements handled by the individuals. (Names circulated among attendees for ease in coordinating travel with fellow travelers.)
- Group arrangements will coincide with the official dates of the shows and organized farm tours, and will include group travel from hotel to/from show grounds, meals, VIP seating, tours and special exhibitions.
- Hotel rooms will be blocked in both Kuwait and Qatar, with links for making reservations.
- It is hoped every attendee can stay the entire time and visit both countries/shows. However, attendees can designate one or both countries.
- Pricing will depend on the number of participants for each country.
- All details will be forwarded to interested participants when finalized.
- A nominal deposit will be required to officially reserve your spot.
