2011 Membership Renewals and Futurity Information
The 2011 membership year begins November 1st. Membership renewal information as well as futurity confirmations and new nomination forms have been mailed to all 2010 members.
Please note the revised structure for 2011 as it is based on services and participation levels, rather than strictly by ownership of horses. Changes for 2011 include:
- A new category for former members who still own and are passionate about their Egyptian Arabian horses, but not participating with Futurities or showing at the Egyptian Event. This new Supporting Member Category is available for those individuals at a $175 rate.
- For the strong advocates of our Society who don't presently own or breed Egyptian Arabian horses, we've added an Associate Member category, also available at a $175 rate.
- Loyalty to the organization is applauded by keeping membership dues at $350 for concurrent renewing members. This rate also applies for first time Regular (Breeding and Show Level) members. As an additional incentive for joining, first time members at this level will also receive a $25 merchandise gift certificate.
A Membership Survey is included in the 2011 Membership Renewal package.
Please take a few minutes to complete and return this survey, as it will assist us in formulating strategies and programs that will best suit our member needs. If it is more convenient, the Membership Survey can be completed through our website. Please contact our office if you have further questions.

Since its inception, the Stallion Owner Participation Program has proven to be an excellent promotional tool for Pyramid Society members, providing added visibility for Straight Egyptian stallions and discounted Futurity nominations for mare owners. To receive complimentary promotion for your Straight Egyptian stallion in the Stallion Guide, The Chariot E-newsletter, at targeted promotional venues, as well as on our website, please complete the Stallion Owner Participation Form online by the November 1, 2010 deadline. Member Spotlight - Larry and Carolyn Shelton
Twelve Oaks Arabians
Larry and Carolyn Shelton founded Twelve Oaks Arabians in 1991. After meeting some successful Egyptian breeders and having the opportunity to study and admire the Egyptian Arabians in person, they quickly purchased some acreage in Richmond, Texas and set out to stock their own broodmare band.
