Equinox Arabians is a small Egyptian Arabian breeding farm located in the beautiful Lake Oconee area of Georgia. We began our program in 1999 with the purchase of two mares in foal, Bint Maar Hala (X Shaikh Al Badi) and TheMinstrils Aria (X Aliah Halima). Binte soon rewarded us with our first filly, a stunning bay, Marrakesh EQ (X Al Baraki) and Aria gave us our first colt, the beautiful Gibran EQ (by Richter MH). Both went on to be Egyptian Event Top 10 winners, and Marrakesh has been an outstanding broodmare for us. Over the next couple of years we also acquired Thee Debutante (X SES Khebria) and the great Miss Maggie Mae (The Minstril X Bint Magidaa). With our broodmare band intact, we soon began to bring new bloodlines into our herd, using stallions such as Shahir IASB, Al Adeed Al Shaqab, and PVA Kariim.

Our goal has been to produce very high quality foals while broadening our gene pool. We believe that it is important to use sire and dam lines that have been proven stallion producers, since there is always a 50% chance of producing colts. We are very proud of the two stallions that we now stand, Majiid EQ (Shahir X Miss Maggie Mae) and The Quiet Man EQ (PVA Kariim X Falada EQ X Gatsby CC).
Majiid has been Reserve Champion World Class Stallion at the Egyptian Event in 2006 and 2008. He is currently on lease to the Pellegrini Family of Assa Egyptian Arabians in Italy for 2010, 2011 and 2012. The Quiet Man was Reserve Champion Extended Specialty 3 year old stallion at this year's Egyptian Event and is currently standing at stud with Steve Dady of Omni Arabians.

We formerly lived in Arkansas, the Pyramid Society's Region 9, where we enjoyed a close association with the many fine Pyramid Society members in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Since moving to Georgia in 2005, we have been pleased to find another active group of excellent breeding farms in Region 12. We look forward to the Egyptian Event every year and to the Breeder's Conference that is coming up soon in Georgia.
