Nevada is offering hunters a chance to win the hunt of a lifetime with a new program 'Nevada Dream Tags'.In a few weeks Nevada Dreams Tags raffle tickets will be offered for sale by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Five tags will be awarded in 2012. One each for Elk, California Bighorn Sheep, Desert Bighorn Sheep, Antelope and Mule Deer. Raffle tickets for the NV Dream Tags sell for $5.00 and you can buy as many as you want. The lucky winners of the NV Dream Tags will be allowed to hunt that species in any area in Nevada at anytime during the regular hunting season (all other rules for weapon class and seasons for that weapon still apply).

The Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Nevada Department of Wildlife and administer the funds generated by the NV Dream Tags sales. All money raised by the Dream Tags program will be used for the preservation, protection, management or restoration of game and its habitat. This could include restoration and rehabilitation of habitat from devastating fires, emergency water developments and wildlife relocations, and major equipment repairs, purchases and rentals needed.

 Churches, elementary
schools , high schools and universities, several local and national museums, support and care for veterans and local human service organizations received the majority of grants from Foundation Donor Advised funds in the last 60 days.

Most people are closely aligned with the organizations they support and find by working through the Community Foundation that close relationship is respected and encouraged. The Community Foundation makes it easy for fundholders to support the causes and organizations near to their heart. We listen to fundholders and research interest areas when requested

With a few clicks on  your computer you can send grants to your church, your kid's school, the theater company you enjoy and the human service organization where you volunteer. We keep their contact information handy and ask you to fill in the grant amount and special purpose if any.
