Want Your Clients to Grow?
Refer Marketing Pros |
By Rick Rhoads
In the 18 years I've been in PNG/ProVisors (hereafter referred to as ProVisors), I've noticed some patterns among the thousands of acknowledgments I've heard. One of them is this: when marketing types (marketing consultants, PR and advertising people, writers, graphic artists, website developers, videographers, branding specialists, presentation coaches) give thanks, more often than not it's to a member who has hired them rather than to one who has referred them to a client.

By Karen L. Gabler and Mark Jaffe
Few people would dispute that getting a massage is good for you, but how many of us take that step to prevent a problem, rather than gambling on whether the problem will actually occur? Along the same lines, how many of your clients take proactive steps to protect their businesses, instead of gambling on potential business and legal risks?
Identifying when a perceived business luxury is really a business necessity requires that businesses maximize their external value, without forgetting to protect and enhance their internal value. Mark Jaffe [CAL], a strategic revenue

What Every Board Member
of a Nonprofit Needs to Know
By Jennifer Goddard Combs
The aphorism "No good deed goes unpunished" has been attributed to Billy Wilder, Andrew Mellon, Oscar Wilde, and Clare Boothe Luce. Regardless of who said it first, we all know its meaning: acts of kindness frequently backfire. Unfortunately, the good deed of serving on the board of a nonprofit organization often proves this sad truth.
Before volunteering precious time as a board member of a nonprofit, it would be wise to follow the flight attendant's directive to "secure your oxygen mask first."
