Mark your calendars now...on Sunday, July 4, there will be Worship in the Park at 8am and in the Sanctuary at 9am...but there will be NO worship at 10:30 that day.

Is Sailing In!!

Sail the High Seas...VBS is June 14 - 18....right around the bend! If you haven't registered yet, be sure to do so ASAP. The cost is $10 per child. Download a registration form at Vacation Bible School Registration.

The LUMYouth recently were "Sidewalk Prophets",
writing Scripture and other Christian messages
 on sidewalks as a witness to the community!!
HELP NEEDED:
Help needed to mow the church lawn. The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board across from the Library. Can you donate your time to help keep our yard beautiful??

Are you planning a vacation this summer? The easiest way to keep current with your giving to the church is to sign up to have your contribution automatically deducted from your bank account. You may sign up for a weekly or monthly deduction, or whatever frequency you choose. This can be used for contributions to the Operating Budget, Building Fund, or other designated giving. Scholarship Opportunity
The Lenexa Historical Society will be awarding one $1,000 Scholarship to a Lenexa resident enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at any college or university. This includes incoming freshman-accepted for Fall 2010 admission. Applicants must submit a 3-4 minute video essay on Lenexa (Past or Present). The deadline for submissions is August 6, 2010. For official rules, candidates can pick up an application at the Legler Barn Museum.

 
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Anyone interested in making prayer shawls is welcome to contribute to this ministry. Patterns are available at church. There are also many free knitting and crochet patterns available on the Internet for prayer shawls. You can bring your finished shawls to church and put them in the Yarn Ministries Basket in the Missions Nook (outside the Church Office).
