Wednesday Night OASIS Menus

Wednesday Night OASIS is coming to a pause for the spring. Be sure to enjoy the last 2 OASIS dinners!! Thank you to everyone who has helped make Wednesday Nights a success this school year! We've had lots of fun! Many music groups will be resting during the summer, and J.A.M. will also take a break. If you are interested in helping with summer activities on Wednesdays during the summer (playing basketball, etc.), share your ideas on May 5, at 7pm in the Library, or contact Lisa Freeman at lisa.freeman@lenexaumc.org.

  • A special offering will be collected during both worship services in support of Native American Sunday; money collected helps support seminary scholarships for Native Americans, and to help expand the number of target cities in the Native American Urban Initiative.

Annual Ladies Spring Banquet
Thursday, April 29 in Schneeberger Hall
Seating and viewing of dishes begins at 5:30pm; dinner will be served at 6:30.
A speaker from Ten Thousand Villages will share information about fair trade; items will be for sale.

Annual Merle Sparlin Fishing Derby
9am - Noon at Rose's Pond (Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park; 87th and Lackman)
Enjoy birthday cake with Merle at 11:30am (Merle is turning 100!!)

Hot Lunch Service
Friday, May 7
Many volunteers are needed to help feed over 300 people in Kansas City, Kansas. Can you provide food and/or help serve? Sign up sheets and casserole pans are on a table outside the Sanctuary.

Community Health Fair
May 13-15; 7am - Noon in the Education Building

Women's Spring Gathering: "Radiating From Within"
May 22 in Schneeberger Hall

The day begins at 8:30am with coffee. The program runs from 9am-3pm. Judy Atwood, a United Methodist Deacon from Manhattan, will facilitate the program. Brunch will be around 11am; participants are asked to bring some type of brunch-dish to share. Sign up on the UMW Bulletin Board (across from the Church Office).
