Greetings from Lenexa United Methodist Church! We pray you are all well and enjoying the beginning of March and the promise of spring, as we travel the journey of Lent. This Sunday, March 7, the sermon is, "Journey of Longing". You can prepare for it by reading Isaiah 5:1-9 and Luke 13:1-9. We will celebrate Holy Communion during both the 9 and 10:30 worship services.
Have you taken a prayer stone yet? They are sitting by each of the 3 entry ways of the main building. Pick one up, write something on it that you feel God has put on your heart to focus on during Lent, and take it with you. You can bring it back the following week and grab another if you want to!
The Youth Chili and Soup Luncheon & Auction is this Sunday!! Be sure to stay from yummy food...and your chance to bid on lots or really cool items (funds raised will support youth ministries). Thank you to everyone who has donated items...if you have something to donate, contact Bryan Ewing or Lisa Freeman ASAP!

Community Health Fair
Organizational Meeting
If you want to volunteer at our Health Fair on May 13-15, please come to one of the important organizational meetings at either 1pm or 7pm on Monday, March 8!! We'll meet in the Wesley Room for handouts and information. We will use site maps for a walk through the Education Building to see what volunteers will be doing. Family Camping Trip

The Spring
Trash to Treasure Sale is Coming!!
Start cleaning out your closets, basements and garages now for the Spring Trash to Treasure Sale! We need donations of the stuff you no longer need or want (in good condition of course)...except no computers/computer components please.
Helpers are needed to set up tables on Sunday, March 21, from 5-7, and on Sunday, March 28 after church to pack things up and take down tables. Volunteers are also needed to sort and price items on Monday and Tuesday, March 22 and 23, from
9am - 5pm.
Here's the schedule:
Sunday, March 21 - start bringing donations and setting up, from
5-7pm
March 22 and 23 - bring donations, sort and price, from 9am - 5pm
March 23 - congregational "Sneak Peek", from 6:30 - 7:30pm
March 24 - 27 - sale is open to the public, from 9am - 5pm (8pm on
Wednesday)
March 28 - clean up and take down, after church
