Welcome to the
new "Cross Links" email newsletter from
Lenexa United Methodist Church!!

We are always looking for new ways to keep in touch with our friends from Lenexa UMC so that we can communicate the latest news to you in a timely matter. This does not replace current ways of communication...the website, the Messenger newsletter, Sunday announcements, etc...but is just another communication tool so we can stay connected in our busy, busy lives!

We trust you will enjoy reading "Cross Links". You will continue to receive it because we have your email at church; you can opt out of it (see above). Let the office know if you have a different or additional email you would like to have this sent to, as we are currently sending it to the primary emails we have. You can also refer other family and friends to subscribe to it...they can subscribe to it via our website (www.lenexaumc.org).

Welcome to "Cross Links"...have a great day!
The February Messenger is now online at www.lenexaumc.org. Please take a moment to go to our site and download the newsletter...it is filled with the latest news, including information about the upcoming Wednesday night Lent Study, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Ash Wednesday, the upcoming Youth Chili Auction, news from the Missions Committee, Preschool, Sunday School Classes, UMW and UMM...and so much more!

Haiti Relief
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) has close ties with the Methodist Church in Haiti and is responding to the devastating earthquake with funding, material resources and prayers. You may support the relief efforts by writing a check to Lenexa UMC and Designating Haiti Advance #418325 on the memo. You may also donate online at http://new.gbgm-umc.org/umcor. One hundred percent of all gifts will be used for the emergency. President Obama has signed into law the Haiti Assistance Income Tax Incentive Act. Under this Bill, contributions made between January 11, 2010 and February 28, 2010 for Haiti Relief may be deducted on either your 2009 or 2010 tax return.

We are also collecting Health Kits. You can pick up a list of items to include in each kit by the Missions Nook (just outside the Church Office). Finished kits are being collected in a tub in the same area. Please keep Haiti in your prayers.
