Rec 'n Rah! Community Kudos
|
 |
Des Moines Parks, Recreation & Senior Services provides
community recreation experiences in the Waterland City. To pull it all off, we often get to work with
wonderful civic minded groups and people who provide citizens with the quality
of life that they deserve. In Rec 'n
Rah, we'll be giving thanks to the civic groups and people that help make Des Moines
a great place to live.
Our first Rec 'n Rah goes to... Rotary Club of Des Moines. The Rotary Club has championed parks and
recreation programs as a community investment.
They've put their money where their mouth is too - Rotarians have
contributed $37,000 for teen programming with the After School Program at
Pacific Middle School, and fund-raised money for much needed play equipment at Des
Moines Beach Park, Water Tower Park and most recently at Field House Park. Rotarians also contribute volunteer efforts
and donations for the annual Sports Night Auction ,
fast approaching on May 15th, hosted by Des Moines Legacy Foundation
to raise money for youth recreation and education scholarships.
Thank you for your support, Des Moines
Rotarians. Kudos to all of you for making
our community a great place to live!
