Arrival of Your Goal

As cyclists and endurance athletes, we are accustomed to
setting lofty and sometimes extremely aggressive goals for ourselves. It allows
us to dream of what at one time we may have thought impossible to accomplish. Being an avid cyclist for 20+ years, I can still remember my
first group ride and getting dropped during the warm-up. I can also remember my
first century and how much harder it was, than what I thought it would be.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed the challenge and suffering that cycling
presented. On September 11, 2010, I will be riding my first
24-hour solo road ride, south of Castle Rock, CO to benefit the Autism Society
of Colorado (ASC). My nephew Reid is Autistic and is my inspiration for this new

Reid's Ride
September 11th/12th 2010, Castle Rock Colorado, 10am will be when OES Community Sponsored Athlete Matt Hollas clips into his pedals and settles onto the saddle and begin his 24hour journey in an attempt to cover 300-400 miles. Come out and show your support by cheering him on as he comes through the home base location of the circuit route or plan to ride a few laps with him. chews and bars, bottle filled with a favorite sports drink-you plot a course
for the hills. As you get settled into the ride and start to consume the tasty
treasures, conversion of food into usable fuel for the body begins. Have you
ever questioned whether you are getting the most out of that fuel? Like miles
per gallon in a car, drive it correctly over time and an improvement in mileage

2011 Optimize Endurance Services Mountain Bike Team
I'm currently in talks with sponsors for the 2011 season and would like to provide some preliminary info, so that you can plan to join the team this fall for the upcoming season.
A meeting to discuss team memberships will take place in early October, further communication will be sent out as to when and where the meeting will be.
