The building products industry, which has struggled since the housing bubble burst in late 2006, is starting to show signs the worst may be over. While both residential and commercial construction spending trends have been depressed, we feel they have hit their nadir and are poised for a robust recovery. Due to several positive macroeconomic and industry indicators combined with extensive building products industry knowledge residing on our Board, we are seeking a platform business in the building products industry with the following criteria:
Types of Businesses: value-added manufacturers and distributors of building material and supply companies. Product categories include windows, cabinets, functional and decorative hardware, vanities, plumbing fixtures, sinks, tile, shelving systems, amongst others. Annual Revenues: $15 million+ Gross Margins: 30%+
EBITDA Margins: 15%+ Customer Concentration: Top customer representing no more than 20% of revenue Location: North America
