beautiful day in Antigua, Guatemala. We all arrived safely last night and got
settled in to our charming hotel right under the historic arch in the heart of
Antigua. After having some fun doing the "hokie pokie" in the middle
of our courtyard (yes, you read that right) we all took a few moments to set our

A Foundations of Unity Class

Class fee is $60.00.
Could you benefit from "practicing the presence" in your life on a daily basis? This class gives you the opportunity to practice meditation, learn how to more effectively pray for yourself and for others and to become more comfortable with silent prayer as well as praying out loud. It will also support you in learning to
listen for, being aware of, and then following the guidance received.

Huipil
(Wee-peel) is the Spanish term for the traditional blouse worn by Mayan women
in Guatemala.
The huipils are the most significant part of the costume and, to the knowledgeable observer, it identifies a woman's village,
social and marital status, religious background, wealth, and individual
personality.
A well-woven huipil can last 20 to 30 years before it's sold at market and
starts a second life as a rag, quilt, or handbag. Since these items are created
from many different blouses - designs and styles will vary. Backgrounds of each
item will also vary somewhat - some will be a more solid color, others will
have stripes. These talented artisans
are paid fair trade wages to help improve their living conditions.
