Spiritual Economics"Position
yourselves squarely on the side of the prosperity potential". Eric Butterworth Eric
Butterworth challenges us in his book, Spiritual
Economics with this bold statement. Very bold, especially as we review the
headlines of our weekly newspapers or spend just a couple of minutes with the
latest newscast. Is it
possible that the power to change financial adversity lies with me? Can I truly create circumstances...or at least
set the climate in which they happen? If my awareness has the power to create
or add to this environment does that mean that the cure, the answer, is also
within ME? Wouldn't that make me
responsible for the security that I long for?
Do I know the difference between my net worth and my net worthiness? Join
me this Sunday, to look at these perplexing questions as we continue with week
four of our six part series, Spiritual
Economics.
Additional copies of Spiritual Economics are available in th e Bookstore. Be sure to pick up your copy!
Namaste,

MOTHER'S DAY IS A WEEK FROM SUNDAY!Universally, mothers share similar hopes and dreams for their children and families, regardless of where in the world they live. This Mother's Day, honor the women in your life by giving them unique jewelry from around the world at Exotic World Gifts. This week, jewelry from BALI is being featured in the cafe. Your generosity gives The Unity Center the ability to support micro-finance programs that provide funds to help greater numbers of women to build sustainable futures.
"When you buy a gift for the mother in your life, you are buying gifts for women all over the world." - Liz Allen

A Prayer Square Story
" A few weeks ago I sent one of our Uniteen Prayer Squares to my friend's mother who was very sick and was preparing to make her transition. The family, particularly her husband, was worried about her restlessness and about how much she seemed to be suffering.
The prayer square arrived on Saturday afternoon, the day before Easter. The husband set the prayer square beside his wife on her pillow. For the first time in several days, she slept peacefully through the night.
When she awoke in the morning (Easter Sunday) around 8:00 A.M., the prayer square was still on her pillow. The doctor listened to her heart and told her husband that she was peacefully "on her way." She made her gentle transition at 8:28 that morning.
The prayer square seemed to mean a great deal to the family and they wanted to know if it could be buried with her. I told them that I thought the Uniteens would be honored that this little square they had made, and over which they had prayed, had brought this woman and her family such peace, and that they would be equally honored if the family decided to bury it with her.
So, as my friend's mother lay in her casket, and friends, family and loved ones filed by to pay their respects, the prayer square lay beside her on the pillow just touching her cheek. The prayer square remained there when they closed the casket and is with her still."

The Unity Center San Diego Blog
| | For those of us who are not traveling to Guatemala, The Unity Center has created a BLOG so we can all "participate" with Wendy and the group in their daily travels.
What is a BLOG you might ask?
Blog is a short term for a "web log", a website that is updated regularly with photos, videos and news of interest to its readers. Often readers are able to comment and submit questions as part of a two-way conversation over the internet.
Through our Unity Center blog, you will be able to "see, hear and experience" many of the sights and sounds of Guatemala.
Please feel free to add your comments and questions. Many members of the group will be "blogging" daily, so check in often to see what's happening!
Look for the link to the blog on the Home Page of The Unity Center's website beginning May 17.

We will show the following three Eckhart Tolle videos:

"I met Eckhart Tolle in person once, in a restaurant in La Jolla. He is a quiet, humble, and unassuming man. He has a great Light to give to you, and to all of us. He is a fully 'God-conscious', 'enlightened', 'illumined', person, and a good teacher."
