After a fabulous experience in New York speaking at Unity and a successful book signing, I am glad to be home in beautiful ( not snowy) San Diego. Thank you again, to Peter Bolland, our guest speaker last Sunday.
Join me this week as we continue our series on the Fruits of the Spirit, Glimpses of a Spiritual Life. We will be picking the fruit of "Self-Control". What a delicious look at how deepening your self-control can enrich your spiritual journey.
Walk with me as we find how sweet it is to harvest our knowing of what matters most and doing that. Dig into discover the power of managing yourself and own the empowerment of taking responsibility for your emotional field. Celebrate as we find how to reap the benefits of finding balance as we exercise moderation in all things.

These are just a
few of the things families have given and received over the last two weeks using
the new Youth
& Family Circulation Tree. In a simplified version of the Center's
successful Circulation Day, Youth and Family now has an ongoing system for sharing
our gently used items within our community.
Do you have
something you no longer use? Post it on the tree. If someone else needs it, they take the post
and contact you to claim it. It's that simple! And it works the other way, too.
If you need something, post it on the tree. If someone has that particular item, they can take your post and contact you.
It's a fun way to
keep things out of our landfills a bit longer, help our fellow families save
money, and get to know one another better. The same feeling of camaraderie
we experienced at Circulation Day is renewed each time we give and receive
using the Circulation Tree.
The tree is located
on the outside wall of the nursery in the Youth and Family wing. Come join in
on the action!

Wednesday, March 10th the Café Video Discussion Group will feature a viewing of Adyashanti in a film entitled: "Reality-Oriented
Spirituality."

This course is a down-to-earth, inspiring, informal, penetrating study of the seven core ideas of the world's wisdom traditions as they apply to our every day real lives. Our intent is to increase and cultivate our wisdom for a richer, deeper more joyful life.

Youth and Family Angels Needed
Welcome Angel Ministry (Youth and Family Ambassadors)
Welcome families to the youth and family wing; assist new families in finding the right classrooms; introduce them to the Director and teachers; provide Welcome Packets to new families among other small tasks.
Kids' Connection Angels
The nurturing, joyous souls who care for our youth help create a sense of family and home so that the children have a great Kids' Connection experience while their parents attend service. One time each month.
