 Get Things
"Circulating" in Your Life!
Thanks to our Moms who wanted a way to pass on gently used items to other families. We have our Circulation Tree, that originally started out as a "Gratitude Tree" created by our teens.

· The green leaf is for items you'd like to circulate.
· The yellow leaf is for items you want to receive.

If you'd like to get things circulating in your life, connect with someone who can provide something you need or who can use something you are ready to release.

Loving Our Children

Valentine's Day inspires feelings of joy, love, kindness, and caring, and it also serves as inspiration for our Kids' Connection themes this month.

If you're looking for another way connect with your child at a heart level, try talking about what your child does that inspires feelings of love in you. Let them know what they do or their special way of being that feels loving to you. Take it a step further and ask them how they know you love them. You might be surprised by their answers, you might even cry.

Look for the "Signs of Success" cards in the classrooms to take home. Together, we can help our children discover and develop their inner spiritual strengths.

YOUers and Homeless Man

Y.O.U.ers with a homeless man in Downtown San Diego

Service Project Inspires Teens
"More than clothing and food, this experience is about treating homeless people as humans, and reminding them that they aren't alone in the world." Y.O.U. sponsors Brian O'Neill, Jo Ellen Hamilton and Mike Spurgeon led the YOUers on a service project that ended up being so much more than giving to needy people.

The Homeless service project with the Y.O.U. was an amazing experience. Not only did I benefit as an individual, but I could really see, as a leader, our group becoming more bonded.

Our Y.O.U. is more involved than ever this year, and has an increasing size of regulars as a result. It is so amazing to see other youth become involved and passionate about something I have already been passionate about for a number of years. I think that this change is because of the activities, such as the Homeless service project, that take us through intense emotions and spiritual questions as a group, so we can better understand and develop our spiritual muscles from them.

This has been an amazing growing experience for the whole Y.O.U. that has brought us together, shown us that we can make a change in our community, and inspired a desire to make more changes in our city and the world.

Sarah, Y.O.U. Officer
