Now, information you merely gleaned from the hallways of the Youth and Family wing will be available in your in-box.
One of our goals for 2010 is to increase the opportunities for families to meet and build relationships with other like-minded families. We would like you to be a part of the growing variety of programs, events, and activities that we offer at The Unity Center. Connecting families with Kid's Connection programs and Teen Youth group events will now be easier.
Together we create a joyous community for our families.

Give the Magical Gift of Encouragement
What do you love, admire, or appreciate in your family members? When was the last time you told them? The new year is the perfect time to give the gift of encouragement. To give this amazing gift, simply tell a loved one why you love them. Be specific. What do they do or say that brings you love, joy, or contentment?
One idea for giving encouragement is to write it out on little pieces of paper. After you've written what you love, admire, or appreciate about your loved one, roll the paper like a scroll, put the name of the person on the outside, tie a ribbon on it, and place it on their dinner plate. At your family meal, have your loved ones open their scroll and read why you love them.
Don't be surprised if this is the beginning of a great family tradition!

Kids for Peace
(The Unity Center Chapter)
Come join us on Sunday,
January 10th,12:15- 1:30 P.M. on the patio.
Our theme for January & February is:
I pledge to care for our earth with my healing heart and hands.
We will learn about "the perils of plastics" and ways we can contribute to a healthier planet by reusing, reducing and recycling. We will decorate reusable canvas bags. ($1 per bag.)
A few more exciting things on our agenda....
We will meet on the front patio of The Unity Center at 12:15 P.M. and then go to the Y.O.U. room upstairs for our activities. We hope to see you there!
