Introducing At Home our bi-monthly Aiello Home Services newsletter.
First promise - it won't be filled with buy, buy, buy.
We want it to be, at best, a gentle reminder that Aiello Home Services may be able to assist you with your home's heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and water treatment concerns.
So no hard sell, just to let you know what we have to offer.
We also want it to be fun.
We want the newsletter to be filled with items that you will find interesting, compelling, even a few that will bring a smile to your face. A newsletter worth spending a few minutes with every other month.
We want it to be - interactive. Our new favorite word. We'd love your feedback.

Is It Hot Or Is It Just Me? "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it will change." - Mark Twain.  For a guy who wore a white suit all year round, Mark Twain must have loved the June weather in Connecticut.
It's at least partly sunny, on average, 18 days out of 30 with an average temperature of 80 degrees.
Of course it can rain like mad, with more than 3.9" on average, and one June it rained for 12 straight days!
If you like heat though, you can depend on June to deliver it - with 29 of 30 June days having had experienced at least 93 degrees one time or another - and a high of 100 on June 26. Something to look forward to. And it's only going to get hotter - the highest temperature recorded in CT was in July, 1975 - 102 degrees. Of course, that's nothing compared to that sunny day in July, 1913 when it hit 134 degrees at Greenland Ranch, CA - the hottest day on American soil. So, this month, we'd suggest a glass of cold lemonade, a slice of shade and a good book on the history of air conditioning.  By now, we hope you've heard our new radio campaign - and seen a few of our new ads. We're introducing a new theme, "Hello, Aiello," and we hope that when you hear it you will be reminded that you can call for help with any heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and water treatment problems. Now the only thing you have to do is figure out if you pronounce it, A-L-O or I-L-O. Let us know which way YOU say it - but whatever you do, please say it! |

Sorry, Kindle and Nook and whatever, we're not being Luddites; we just like the feel of a book in our hands.
Paperback, hardback, hey a great graphic novel printed in comic book form still works for us. But we want to know what you think.

Make A Difference Community Fund
 Aiello Home Services has been a vital part of the communities it serves for more than 80 years. We've supported many, many different charitable organizations, non-profits, museums, Boy and Girl Scout organizations, Rotary and other civic organizations.
Today we'd like your help in identifying local organizations that need assistance. Each month Aiello Home Services will award a $1,000 cash award to an organization or individual whom we think we can help.

You Must Be In The Front Row!
It's laundry time.
Vin Scully, the great voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers once observed that, with free agency and all the movement of baseball players between teams that fans today actually, "root for the laundry, rather than individual players."
Ask a Red Sox fan if that's true. Johnny Damon goes to the Yankees and it's as though he clothed himself in devil's attire. Hideki Matsui goes to the Angels and Yankee fans express their displeasure in a fashion somewhat unique to the Bronx.
We don't have that problem with New Britain Rock Cats. We love it when one of those kids winds up with the big club in Minneapolis.
